Why We Care About Inbound Travel
Having lived in Koenji for many years, I have watched the number of international visitors grow — and yet I have felt that many of them never get to experience what makes this neighborhood truly special. There are countless shops, but the language barrier gets in the way. I once helped a visitor at a Japanese wine bar who, unable to read the menu, ended up ordering something other than wine.
Precisely because I have lived here so long, I know the warmth of this community, the old-Tokyo "shitamachi" character, and the authentic sense of Japan that runs through it — and I want visitors to experience these things in a natural, unforced way. That is the starting point for the service I am envisioning: a gentle bridge to the charm of this town for international visitors. Drawing on my own experiences as an avid traveler, I hope to create moments that make people think, "I want to come back."

About the Founder
Rieko Ito
CEO, Libero Spiritus LLC
Since 2007, I have been consistently involved in the field of people and organizations.
Working for about 10 years at a consulting firm, I supported the introduction and operation of global engagement surveys, as well as personnel system design and organizational development. During this time, I often felt that the visions of management were not being fully communicated to the front lines as something they could truly relate to.
At the same time, I believe that it is not only the "hard" aspects like systems and frameworks, but also the cultivation of the "quality of relationships" among the people working there that is essential for an organization to demonstrate its inherent strength.

Served as project leader for initiatives including business planning for the establishment of a special-purpose subsidiary (for the employment of people with disabilities), women's advancement programs for local governments, and the Cabinet Office's program to build support systems for children and young people facing difficulties (16 regions nationwide).

PMO lead for a twice-yearly global survey with approximately 60,000 participants, and for manager feedback covering approximately 40,000 employees in Japan. Also drove well-being initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic as part of the company's employee engagement efforts.
